Get me to the games.
Idea: The basic idea behind this is to set up a sequence of online games all about someones journey to the games. Not their spiritual journey, as in what they have to do in order to get there. More what adventures they get into whilst traveling to the games. The games will be a in a sequence but can be played separately in the user wants to. The games will be like Olympic events but in the setting of the traveller. Some of the games will be slightly surreal in nature but always fun and positive in tone of voice. Points will be awarded for individual games or completing the journey in sequence. A leader board will exist for individuals but also for teams as well. So that if one member of your team is holding you back you can send them messages to lift their points in a certain game. Or if you have just beaten your best score in one part of the you can send a message from within the game to your other team mates informing them and encouraging them do do so your overall team ranking can rise up the leader board. The more of your team members participating the higher your ranking. The overall objective is to get people coming back to the site and spending game time and encouraging their friends to do the same to help their team score.

The basic sequence-overview will be:
Wake up late.
Get to the airport.
Check in and get through the airport.
The flight.
Finding your way to your hotel.
Finding the way to the stadium.
Finding your friends in the stadium.

Sequence Example:
You’ve woken up late after sleeping through your alarm. Your friends are already at the air port and your flight leaves soon. You have to hurry pack your bags and get a cab (insert game). Cabs keep appearing in the streets ahead so you start running for them. Your street view then turns into the hurdles event. But instead of hurdles you obstacles might be a old lady bending over to pick something up, or a dog or a post office box. The obstacles can pop up and change height at anytime. After jumping a required number of hurdles you can finally reach a cab who whisks you off to the airport (could be a small driving game). Once you get to the airport you realize that in the rush you have left your passport and ticket at home. No worries your flat mate will bring them to you so you start waiting in line to check in. When your flat mate gets to the airport the game becomes the relay with your passport and ticket becoming the baton being passed from friend to friend. You make the check in and race to your plane. You take your seat but because you were late you are sitting a long way from your friends. The plane is being delayed for some reason, you look out the window and see see that the baggage lift has broken so the poor baggage handler is having to throw the bags up into the plane himself. This then turns into the hammer throw where your spin the baggage handler around and launch the luggage into the hold. The quicker and more accurately you do this the more points you get and the sooner your plane can leave. Bags loaded and the plane takes off. Your mind starts to wanders, you flip the tray on the back of your seat down and behind it is not the back of the next seat but the other side of a ping pong table (your tray being the other half of the table). Your opponent is in another room and is actually a giant panda. Your start playing. The object of the game is to see how long you can keep the game going. etc.
